Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day Weekend has turned out to be a popular one for weddings. The fact that it gives guests and members of the wedding party an extra day to travel to and from the wedding location. Because so many couples live away from friends and family, they are cognizant of the difficulty long distance traveling for their guests, by having their wedding over a long weekend, it makes traveling easier and more relaxing.

Wedding Walk
Recently I did a wedding in a beautiful 1800’s church. After the ceremony, the couple observed an Italian custom of walking, with the wedding party, (think Al Pacino in The Godfather ~ with a much better outcome) from the church to the reception site. It was a lovely way to segue to the reception. At the reception, relatives of the bride offered a blessing in Italian and then in English ~ again a tribute to the bride’s heritage.
These touches always personalize a wedding and make it your own. We are defined, to a certain extent, by our heritage and what a wonderful time to acknowledge it.

My First Blog
I am very excited to be posting my very first blog. My goal is to provide information and insights into wedding planning and how a wedding planner can assist a bride in making her wedding just what she has envisioned. I will share with you creative ideas that my brides and I have come up with. I will share challenges I have faced in planning a wedding and how I have been able to resolve these issues.
But most importantly, I hope to provide some useful information to prospective brides. My goal is always to help brides have the wedding they have always envisioned or help them create a vision for their most special day.
