• Be realistic when planning the budget ~ things always cost more than you think they will
• Determine what kind of event you want ~ a very formal plated meal in the evening? a wedding on the beach? a destination wedding? an afternoon tea? a brunch?
• One way to keep the costs in check is to limit the number of guests you plan to invite
• Consider hiring an experienced wedding planner ~ who knows what they are doing ~ they can help develop the budget for you and let you know if you are being realistic, they can negotiate with the vendors on your behalf, they serve as your advocate & best friend!
